Kathy O’Brien combines the creativity of an artist with the tenacity of an accountant. The result is a complete package that benefits her clients from listing to closing — and beyond.
Kathy honed her negotiation skills and numbers sense during her previous career as a financial analyst and accountant. Her ability to analyze the value of a home in a competitive market routinely benefits her clients.
But Kathy also has a passion for interior design and landscape design. She has a knack for highlighting the best features of a home that clients may overlook when distracted by current paint colors, carpeting, or landscape choices.
Kathy takes pride in developing long-term relationships with her clients. Those relationships are direct results of her listening to their needs and desires.
“Often, I am able to introduce my clients to neighborhoods they did not know about but was precisely what they were looking for in their new home,” she says.
Additionally, she makes a point of developing relationships with Realtors from a variety of firms, as well as other industry professionals from title officers to handymen. As a result, a network of allies are always a phone call away. And Kathy isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty to make sure a deal is done properly.
“I have been known to get up on a roof or two with inspectors if the viability is questionable,” she says.
A longtime Dallas resident, Kathy studied fine arts and interior design at the University of North Texas before earning a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
